Let me start by saying I have only owned this for about 2 weeks. Also, this is not only my first charging case for the iPhone, but also my first USB charging battery pack.
I did the research, I know what's out there. This case does everything i was hoping it would do, and a little more.
PRO's

- Sync was no problem.
- About doubles the battery life, for me.
- Increases compatibility for charging away from home.
- Nice texture
- Never need to take it out.
- Can charge the case and the phone together, switch case on, charges phone first.
- Almost Flush mount on screen face.
- LED for pictures, lighting in the dark, menu's at restaurants.
CON's

- Battery life could be better on case. (Admittedly, this is less of a con and more of a wish)
- LED great for everything BUT pictures, though it helps a little.
- Cannot replace battery for this easily. (Again, more of a wish)
- iPhone will sometimes display "Charging not supported with this accessory"

I have had trouble syncing my phone with iTunes on my Win 7 pc BEFORE this product. But once i got that fixed it has been fine. Never had an error with this device either. I understand that there are units with better batteries and more power. But this is the best for my situation. My phone is about a year old and barely lasted a day NEW. Now with my Bluetooth headphones and earpiece, it dies REALLY fast. This about doubles the life. It can last more than a full day, and if i stay at someones house, most likely they have a micro USB adapter. That is one thing i have not heard from anyone else, this case increases the chances of being able to charge my phone at someone else's place. I just bought a generic car charger for my iPhone! Just be sure to match the voltage. I have a BT device charger which will NOT charge the phone, it will charge the case, but it takes all night; if i plug it into the wall, it's perfect. The LED is EASY to turn on and off. You can hit it in your pocket while raking it out for lighting in a dark hallway, or as someone else pointed out: menu's at restaurants. It isn't lined up perfectly for close pictures, and is almost useless at a distance. That being said, I'm SOOOO glad i have it. A friend pointed out that you should be easily able to change the battery for this, but i saw no documentation for this. It would be nice, but not a big deal. One complaint is that the iPhone will sometimes display the yellow exclamation mark claiming: "Charging not supported with this accessory." But, as Roy says: 'switch it off then on again' helps this instantly.

I like kayak camping, this PRODUCT makes that more fun. You should BUY IT if you also like kayak camping, or anything else really.

It's not what I thought. By the instructions I thought I could have this plugged into my phone and charge both. However, the phone does not support it.
